Mr. and Mrs. Murray live with Avery in New York City. Their first names are not known as of Chapter 29.

Avery is out to her parents, though Max thinks they suspected she was gay before that.^[W 1] They know Max well but still strictly enforced rules meant to protect their daughter from her apparently-male best friend.^[W 4]
