Consensus is an instant messaging platform giving users the ability to share text messaging, media, and files in private chats or as part of "servers," communities with a collection of chat rooms which can be accessed via invite links. Consensus is similar in many ways to the chat platform Discord.
Dorley Hall has its own Consensus server, which includes private messaging between intakes and their sponsors. When Steph is first brought to the basement, Christine surreptitiously sets her up with a secure channel where she can communicate in secret with Christine and Abby. [SD 7]
