Chapter 35: Wilderness is the ninth chapter of the third book of the series, Enemies of Dorley Hall, and thirty-fifth chapter overall.

Plot

Paige runs a pre-outdoor briefing for the second-years ahead of their roller-skating outing

Will beats himself up metaphorically, while punching punching bags

Faye enjoys roller-skating with Bex and Christine

Will debriefs with Tabitha

At her boring job with nothing to do, Rachel stews in her transphobia

Trevor is spared another assault from a drunk Jake by Callum, and flees to Val’s room

Elle and Beatrice talk about protective arrangements at Dorley, inbetween other business

Rachel texts Amy who dumps on her being a pain in the …; they agree to meet at Dorley

Val thanks Callum on Trevor’s behalf for his intervention the previous night

Elle and Bea discuss the information they have on Stenordale

Amy and Rachel meet at Dorley and Jane seems to succeed

Elle and Bea meet with Jan to inspect the protective campsite set up in the Dorley grounds

Callum listens to Dotty’s horror plans at Stenordale

Rachel, again, turns up to apologise

The escape cannot be put off another month, so they decide to strike today

Christine takes Rachel and Amy down to the first basement

The escape is bungled and Callum is shot dead

Amy continues to use arguments on bad faith Rachel

Frankie, Val, and Trevor escape in the delivery van after wounding Jake

Dina kills the wounded Jake
