The title comes from Russ’s reflections on his presumed deceased elder brother.

The chapter contains a flashback scene to November 2019, and then returns to the present in mid-January 2020.

Plot

Jenny Yau holds a short candle-light remembrance for Laura and Mark, and Russ unhappily reflects on their absence from his life.

Elle has some phone rage and fobs off an enemy lawyer
